What is this project about?

My project is about the way people use forms of media as escapism. I also want to touch on the way media is purposely used as a way to disconnect people from themselves and their peers. The types of media I noticed that are used heavily with escapism is usually anime/cartoons. I noticed that people will often project themselves onto characters from anime in an unhealthy way.
What do you want to get out of this project?
I want to understand/explore the unhealthy results of the overconsumption of media.

Was your project meaningful?
Did this project matter? In what ways did it further your knowledge, force you to grow, or provide something useful?
My project helped me understand the philosophic idea of Escapism. This helped with my study of philosophy in general, but my project also helped me understand how anime contributes to escapism. Escapism is a problem I used to deal with a lot, but through studying, I learned how to overcome it a bit.
Was your project ambitious?
Given what you already know, did this project challenge you in meaningful ways?
This project was a bit challenging for me, because I watch anime a lot, and fall easily to escapism. It's usually hard to write/study about something you like in a bad light, but it was still good exposure.
Was your project deep?
Did your project engage with powerful ideas or tools? Additionally, did you engage with the material in a deep sense (i.e. did you develop ownership over the ideas or tools)? Can you utilize these skills independently now?
I engaged with the material mostly because they were problems I've dealt with before. I also noticed it was an issue I noticed a lot of other people have, which made me want to study it more. I think the knowledge of overcoming a bad cycle of escapism will always be useful to me.
