4/20 (project start!!) https://gianakaramanolis.wixsite.com/gpkphotography
We've started out by looking through Giana's photography to pick out some compositions we like. We found a couple select images that we think would transform pretty well into paintings, but this one called 'hailz' we really like for a starting place for this project.
The pose seems simple enough (to Rozz) and the framing seems very elegant and engaging to a viewer.
We've decided to have Simon start out with a construction sketch of the composition first (to challenge her perspective abilities and whatnot) and then hand that sketch over to Rozz to challenge her collaborative abilities. Alongside that decision, we also decided to not touch color for the time being while we get our bearings in a collaborative workspace.
4/21 Simon's construction sketch and basic pose - hair! This has been handed to Rozz for refinement!
4/22 Rozz's refined sketch: we decided that we are going to add many cats to the painting
Simon has taken Rozz's sketch and refined it even further
Rozz made grass and sketched cats
Simon made a wall and a sky
Rozz lined some cats and then also lined the figure
