Checkpoint 2:

Guiding Question or Challenge Statement

πŸ’‘

What is the one question which will guide this process of discovery and work? Or, what challenge will you be attempting to complete? For example: How does rock music effect the brain?

Challenge: By the end of the project cycle, be able to easily source raw materials needed for organic skincare formulation, and understand the part each ingredient plays in the final product.

Why do I care?

πŸ’‘

You have a limited amount of time on the worldβ€”why is investigating this project worth the effort given your current goals? For example: I am interested in neuroscience and I am curious about how music can affect the brain and its function.

This goal is part of an ongoing project centering around a course on organic skincare formulation. By the end of this semester, I want to be comfortable formulating without a recipe, and knowing my ingredients and how to source them is the first step. In past projects centering around essential oils, buying the oils was the biggest blocker to my progress, and I have no idea currently how to find and order the other materials that I would need to complete the assignments in this course. I want to make this part of the formulation process easy, so I can spend more of my time on the actual creating.
